Using Windows Xp In Safemode For Emergences

By Larry Miller

When Some problems occur with windows, such as a virus or windows just don"t start up right. One way to to look into fixing the problem, is

Starting windows in safe mode and trying some options to cure the problem. Looking into spy ware that might be on the system. looking into

safe mode emergency steps without a lot of system files and drivers running, eases the process of location and termination of Mal-ware

processes. Emergency safe mode operation in xp using the f8 menu at start up and picking safe mode can help in troubleshooting your pc.

How to get into and use windows xp safe mode, for emergency. What tools should you run in safe mode.

Three steps to starting windows xp in safe mode.

First you have to restart your computer by left clicking on your start button. Then left click on turn off computer, then left click on

restart my computer.

Running four common maintenance programs to check
your system.

When windows starts in safe mode, click ok to except that windows is running in safe mode.
When all your icons are up and showing on your desktop you are ready to run some software.

Left click and run your anti-spyware application and test for spy ware, then let your program do any cleanup work. then go on to your anti virus

and run it,then let it do its cleanup work.

Two programs have been run lets do the third one. Run your Registry cleaner I prefer Cleaner its free and the best.

At the top of the c cleaner menu is to cleanup cookies and junk run this. Then run the one that has the Registry button.

When the registry is cleaned up,you will run the fourth software. Now is the time to run your hard drive defragmentor Auslogics disk-defrag is

free and is very good if you do not have one, if you do not have Your own Preference then use windows defragmentor.

To do this you would left click start then left click on my computer, then right click on your c drive then go to properties at the bottom of

the menu,then left click it.

Now left click on tools then on defragment, when its done restart your computer.

After the restart of your computer run a disk defrag again and another spyware scan.

One reason to run a spy ware and defrag again is when files are removed it creates gaps around the software programs that you still use.

The defragmenter will place these files back together for a quicker responding windows. The second spy ware scan is just to be sure it did not

miss something on its safe mode scan.
